A new research report by TPCSA reveals that Texas public charter schools not only enroll more English learners than traditional school districts, but also help them achieve at a higher level.
The report, English Language Learners Fly Higher In Texas Public Charter Schools, finds that English language learners (ELLs) at charter schools are meeting grade-level academic standards at higher rates than their peers -- in every subject. And when ELLs graduate from charter schools, they are nearly twice as likely to attend college.
Results like these make our public education system stronger and ensure more students are prepared for the jobs of tomorrow.
